If you have already decided to implement card payments in your vending machines, Nayax is the easiest way to implement this decision. All you need to do is equip your vending machine with a Nayax kit and sign two contracts. We will take care of the rest.

Nayax provides acceptance of cards belonging to different payment organizations (Visa, Mastercard) and issued by different banks. In order to be able to take on these responsibilities, Nayax Ltd. had to obtain a whole range of insanely expensive certificates. Among them: PCI-DSS, EMV level 1, 2, and 3 approved by Visa qVSDC, MasterCard M-chip and PA-DSS.

Terminal installation

Installation of the Nayax kit is relatively simple and should not take more than 30 minutes. If the vending machine uses the MDB protocol, the terminal is connected to the machine just like a slot machine. If the vending machine uses other protocols (Executive, Impulse) the connection is still possible, but requires consultation with us. Besides, it is necessary to take care of bringing the antenna outside and arranging the cables properly, so that they do not interfere with the current service of the machine. The most difficult part is mounting the reader itself, which usually requires drilling 5 holes (4 screw holes and one hole for the cable). The installation is much easier in vending machines, which have a removable front panel in place of which the VPOS reader enters.

Which cards are supported by the reader?

By installing the Nayax reader on your machine, you can accept all contactless cards (PayPass, PayWave), smart cards (provided they do not have PIN request enabled for micropayments in terminals without keypads) and magnetic stripe cards. In addition, the VPOS reader also supports phone payments made using NFC technology involving bringing the phone close to the reader.

Security

Please bear in mind that Nayax terminals have passed the stringent tests necessary to obtain the relevant certificates issued by payment organizations. In addition, Nayax readers do not have a keypad used for PIN entry. This is due to the fact that Nayax has focused on the self-service device market, where we usually deal with micropayments that do not require a PIN. Thus, Nayax readers are unattractive "morsels" for fraudsters scanning cards and phishing for PINs.
